Senior leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has announced to quit politics, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Bilour, who has also served as a minister of railways, has said sarcastically that he does not come up to the standards of some people. “I was declared a loser in four elections, which I had won. My brother, son and a nephew were martyred by militants,” he has said, adding, “Now I am thinking of shifting to Islamabad.”

Bilour, who had started politics in 1970, had even won an election against the slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto from NA-1.
