Renowned Pakistani pop singer Abrar-ul-Haq has shed light on the extravagant demands of some artists, calling it unprofessional and unnecessary.

Speaking on a podcast, Abrar revealed, “I never threw tantrums; I didn’t even know about my rights. Even now, I don’t show any tantrums. You can ask the promoters; they will honestly tell you about my behaviour. It looks cheap to demand these things.”

Sharing his experiences as both a performer and an organizer for the Sahara Trust, Abrar highlighted the extensive demands made by some artists, including SUVs, first-class travel, and luxurious suites in upscale locations.

He criticised such behavior, saying, “I feel these things are not professional. I never asked for suites; why would I demand these things when I know I can easily stay in a normal room?”

Abrar expressed disappointment that singers with a “star attitude” often receive more importance, despite their excessive demands. His candid remarks have sparked discussions about professionalism and humility in the music industry.

Abrar, who rose to fame in the early 1990s with his iconic Punjabi hit "Billo," remains a cherished figure in Pakistani music.

Known for his catchy tunes like Cycle,Jatt, Rang Rang, Pardesi, December, Sanu Tere Naal, Nach Punjaban, and Chamkeeli, Abrar earned a permanent spot in the hearts of music lovers.

In addition to his musical success, Abrar is highly regarded for his philanthropic endeavours, particularly in the health sector through his Sahara Trust. His charity work has solidified his reputation as not just an entertainer but also a humanitarian.

Frequently seen on TV shows and podcasts, Abrar is known for his candid and heartfelt discussions, where he often shares his insights and experiences, bridging his artistic journey with his passion for giving back to the community.
