Man in Lahore poisons wife and five children due to poverty

A man in Shahdara Town, Lahore, driven by poverty, poisoned his wife and five children on Wednesday

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the woman and children were rushed to the hospital, and their condition is reported to be out of danger.

As per the details of the incident, Aqeel, struggling with severe financial hardship, gave his wife and children poisonous pills. 

After giving poison to them, Aqeel feeling some regret called on the police emergency service 15 himself and confessed that he poisoned his family.

Upon receiving a call on emergency number 15, Shahdara police and Rescue teams swiftly arrived at the scene. 

The family was immediately transferred to the hospital, where timely medical intervention saved their lives.

The poisoned persons are identified as wife Shakeela and children—Komal, Basma, Nadia, 10-year-old Hasan, and 9-year-old Hussain.
