Strong earthquake shakes many Pakistani cities

An earthquake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, jolted upper parts of the country on Thursday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Tremors were felt in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, different cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), including Peshawar, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Punjab, including Lahore.
The epicentre of the earthquake lied in Hindukesh mountains and its depth was recorded at 215 kms under the ground.
Tremours were also felt in North Waziristan District.
Panicked by the quake, people came out of their homes reciting Kalima-e-Tayyaba.
