Police have arrested one of the two suspects, who had gang-raped a 14-year-old deaf and dumb girl in a suburban village of Pattoki on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Police have said that soon after the incident, Mahnoor was shifted to a tehsil headquarters hospital where MS Dr. Faisal said that the preliminary medical report had suggested that the girl was subjected to a gang-rape.
The Force has further said that samples have been sent to a laboratory for further verification.
Police have said they have arrested Adeel, who is being interrogated, while manhunt has been launched for the arrest of his accomplice Hasnain, and hopefully soon he will be in their custody as well.
Asif, Mahnoor’s uncle, in his complaint to the police, said that an atrocity had been committed against his niece.
He also appealed to the Punjab chief minister to take notice of the incident and order action against the rapists.
Two rascals had taken the girl to a deserted house where they raped her one by one and also filmed the scenes.
