A person riding a motorcycle died after falling into an open sewer manhole on Mission Road near the 16-block area of Sargodha, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the details, the accident happened due to a lack of cover on the manhole.
Rescue 1122 teams recovered the dead body from a kilometre away from the accident site after a 10-hour-long operation in the area.
The deceased was identified as forty-year-old Amir Mehmood who was a resident of Islamabad Colony in Sargodha.
Pertinent to mention here that the Sargodha Commissioner had also issued instructions to the Municipal Corporation administration a few days ago to keep lids on the manholes but his orders were not implemented by the concerned authorities.
