Informing that he was going to start the election campaign on December 10, veteran politician and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed said on Wednesday he was optimistic that with the blessing of The Almighty Allah he would be successful, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the media outside district courts in Islamabad, he said that the good news was that his bail had been confirmed in one of the cases today. “And it will be on December 20 that I will come to know from the Lahore High Court (LHC) how many cases have been filed against me,” he said, and added, “But one thing I can say with certainty is that all these cases are fake.”“When the chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) has said that general elections will be held, who am I to differ with him,” the veteran politician said, adding, “But this time, I don’t see enthusiasm in people about elections.”
He was of the view that the people’s real issue was economic. “People are finding it hard to make their ends meet,” Rasheed said.
Sh Rasheed’s pre-arrest bail approved
Earlier, Additional District and Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra granted pre-arrest bail to AML chief in a case registered against him at Kohsar police station of Islamabad.
