PM Shehbaz leaves for Saudi Arabia to attend Riyadh Investment Forum

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left on a two-day official visit of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to attend the Riyadh Investment Forum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Minister for Trade Jam Kamal accompanied the prime minister on the visit.
PM Shehbaz will discuss with Saudi leaders matters related to financial and strategic ties between the two countries.
Similarly, the prospects of cooperation in energy and other sectors will also come under discussion at the meetings.
The Future Investment Initiative Forum to be held in Riyadh is the largest investment forum held in Saudi Arabia.
Several business deals worth 28 billion dollars are expected to be signed during the forum this year.
David Sloman of Goldman Sachs, Kerry Fink of Black Rock, Jane Fraser of Citigroup, Julia Hoggett of London Stock Exchange, CEOs of the world's largest companies will attend the event.
Along the sidelines of the forum, PM Shehbaz will also persuade the world’s leading businessmen to invest in Pakistan by informing them of the favorable environment and for foreign investment in the country.
To be attended by global leaders, this year’s FII is themed “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow” and will focus on global investments aimed at addressing major issues such as artificial intelligence, robotics, education, energy, space, finance, healthcare, and sustainability.
The participating countries will engage in the dialogue for the promotion of investment and a sustainable future while highlighting the strength of their respective economies.
The FII conference will feature discussions on artificial intelligence, robotics, education, energy, space, public health, and challenges confronting sustainable development.
Prime Minister Shehbaz is expected to hold important bilateral talks with the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and other senior Saudi officials.
The two sides will discuss the economic and strategic partnership between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and explore bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, energy, mining, agriculture, and defence domains.
