A local court in Islamabad has disposed of acquittal pleas of PTI founder chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana-II case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Pronouncing the reserved verdict on Thursday, Special Judge Central Sharukh Arjumand adjourned the hearing of the case until Monday.
The judge had reserved the ruling on November 8 after hearing arguments from all sides.
The former first couple will be indicted in the fresh Toshakhana case on November 18.
The couple's indictment date was announced by the special court of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) which also dismissed the acquittal pleas filed by the former prime minister and his wife.
The case at hand pertains to an alleged illegal sale of a jewelry set gifted to Bushra by the Saudi Crown Prince when her husband Imran Khan was the prime minister from 2018 to 2022. However, it is not to be mixed with the first Toshakhana case wherein the couple was sentenced to 14 years in prison and was handed down a fine of Rs1.57 billion, Rs787 million each, in January.
The couple's sentence in the first Toshakhana case was suspended by the Islamabad High Court in April.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir said not to go to the interim side, submit the final and detailed report tomorrow.
DSP Legal Sajid Cheema requested that we be given time till Monday to submit the report.
The court inquired why so much time is needed, are there more FIRs?
Later, the court granted the request and adjourned the hearing till November 18.
