Punjab Cabinet fixes minimum wheat support price at Rs3,900 per 40kg

The Punjab Cabinet approved fixing the minimum support price of wheat at Rs 3,900 per 40 kilograms on Wednesday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the fifth meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz in Lahore.

The Punjab Cabinet also approved the Wheat Procurement Policy 2024-25 in the meeting.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also announced to give interest-free loans of Rs150,000 to small farmers for agricultural items.

Maryam Nawaz said she is committed that the interests of small farmers are protected at all costs. She said the best and most historical farmer cards in the history of Pakistan are being given.

Provincial Ministers, the Chief Secretary, the IG Police and other high officials participated in the meeting and briefed the CM on the matter.
