Oil tanker owners threaten to halt supply of petroleum products

Oil Tankers Owners Association (OTOA) has announced to stop the supply of petrol and diesel from Tuesday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Initially, the Oil Tankers Owners Association has announced to suspend the supply of petroleum products to Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the statement issued by the association, the supply of petroleum products will be stopped against the decrease in the amount of oil by administration.

It was announced in the statement that meanwhile the supply of petroleum products will also be suspended to all the airports of the country.

The statement said that the supply will be suspended until our demands are accepted.

The association said that notices to Pakistan State Oil (PSO) authorities and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad have been sent but did not get any response.

The association said the demand for filling under meterized system should be fulfilled immediately.

The statement further said that the district administration and authorities have violated the agreement of February 20.
