Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid said on Saturday that he had been kept in Cell No 15, and implored the voters of his constituencies to step out of their homes on February 8 and vote for him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He was talking to the media outside an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad where he had gone in connection with the hearing of his bail application.
“Give me a new lease of life. And the only way through which you can do that is by putting a stamp on my election symbol of ‘Qalam and Dwat’.
Claiming that the PTI-supported candidates who are contesting the general election as independents would change their loyalties once they reached the National Assembly, Rashid made it clear that he was not like them since he had no child to look after.
