The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday announced that it has delivered ballot papers to all four provinces as part of the preparations for the upcoming general elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A spokesman for the ECP said the delivery was done by road and air, and the ballot papers were being printed in three government presses.
He added that the printing of votes started on January 16, after the allotment of electoral symbols, and will continue till February 2.
He also informed that the public could get the vote and polling station information through the 8300 SMS service.
The spokesman said that the ECP has also completed the training of 970000 polling staff.
He said that 96 percent of the polling staff had been trained, and the remaining six thousand would be trained in the next four days.
Meanwhile, the ECP has taken notice of the incidents of firing between two political parties in Karachi over the installation of flags, and the snatching of postal ballots in Swabi district.
The ECP has sought reports from the concerned Chief Secretary and IG Sindh, the spokesman said.
