Edhi Foundation has announced to offer Rs 25,000 monthly as financial assistance to 70 students of Palestine who are studying in different cities of Pakistan amid Gaza crisis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

This development comes when 20 Palestine students from Karachi and Hyderabad met with Edhi Foundation chairman Faisal Edhi on Saturday.

Faisal Edhi said that the students' families used to send money to their siblings every month for education.

Now, the banking system in Gaza has been completely destroyed due to the Israeli aggression and Gaza citizens cannot send their children's education expenses, Faisal Edhi elaborated.

Consequently, Palestinians students studying abroad are feeling it difficult to meet their tuition fee and boarding expenditures, Faisal Edhi added.

He said that the destruction of the banking system in Gaza was affecting students' studies, thus Edhi Foundation has decided to grant Rs 25,000 monthly to 70 students each for six months. If necessary, they will send money from six months to one year, Faisal Edhi hinted.

Most government educational institutions in Pakistan have waived fees for Gaza students, he maintained adding that We are meeting the remaining expenses of the students.

Students from Gaza are also studying in Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
