Kasur police have successfully dismantled a major online supply chain of metal cords, notorious for their lethal consequences in a decisive move against the perilous practice of kite flying, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.

The operation, led by DPO Kasur Tariq Aziz Sindhu and executed by the B Division Police Station under DSP City's guidance, resulted in the seizure of hundreds of wheels of the dangerous cords and the identification of the individuals responsible for their distribution.

The crackdown follows directives from the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Inspector General of Punjab, reflecting a zero-tolerance policy towards the illicit activity that has claimed lives in the past.

The accused, who orchestrated the supply from Dera Ismail Khan to various Kasur districts, are now facing stringent legal action.

DPO Sindhu has issued a stern warning, stating that those involved in the blood sport of kite flying will receive no clemency. The clear message from authorities: engaging in the sale, manufacture, or flying of kites will result in immediate imprisonment, reinforcing the commitment to public safety and the rule of law.
