This prediction was echoed by other cricket legends. Former Australian stars Shane Watson and Aaron Finch, along with Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan, also included Pakistan in their top four picks.
The Pakistani team, also known as the Men in Green, are currently preparing for the tournament. They recently participated in a training session at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, where the players practiced fielding drills in the nets.
The team is scheduled to face New Zealand in their first warm-up match today. Their second warm-up match is against Australia on October 3.
The mega event will kick off on October 5, and Pakistan will play its first match against the Netherlands on October 6. They will then face the challenge of the host team, India, on October 14.
These predictions and preparations have stirred excitement among cricket fans, particularly in Pakistan. The country's cricket enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the tournament, hoping to see their team perform well and potentially secure a spot in the semi-finals.
