Peshawar corps commander, IGP pay tribute to police for stopping bombers at mosque gate

Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Hassan Azhar visited the site of a suicide hit at a mosque in Hangu, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
He paid tribute to the brave lawmen for refraining the suicide bombers from entering the mosque where scores of people were offering Friday prayers. The Doaba police personnel showed valor and saved many lives.
The corps commander heaped praise on the law enforces for their courage. He visited the CMH and inquired after the injured.
He reiterated peace resolve, saying terrorists can’t shatter the lawmen’s peace resolve. He said the anti-terror combat will continue.

Also, KP police chief Akhtar Hayat and Chief Secretary Aslam Chaudhry visited the blast site and the police station.
The top cop paid homage to the national heroes, saying the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police are a force of brave persons.
He added that a policy is being devised to solve the problems confronting the provincial police.
Police are using all resources to prevent terrorist incidents, he maintained. Five persons embraced martyrdom and dozens sustained injuries in the suicide hit.
