Pakistani actress Saheefa Jabbar Khattak came out in support of fellow actress Amar Khan against the trolls brigade debating over the latter’s forehead.
Amar Khan recently made an appearance at Ushna Shah's show 'After Hours' on channel 365 and opted for a gelled-back half-ponytail hairstyle that became a topic of discussion after a recent transition video of her.
Her look and particularly her forehead did not go well with the netizens and they criticized her but actress Saheefa Jabbar did not approve the user's statements and took a stand for her.
Saheefa took to her Instagram stories and strongly raised her voice against the matter and slammed the people who are focusing on Khan’s forehead rather than her artistic achievements.
She wrote, “It’s unbelievable that my friend and colleague’s appearance is making headlines, not her craft, not her impressive achievements, but her looks (forehead). What a nation we are, progressing so much, right?”
Amar Khan has dedicated years to studying her craft and has achieved everything through sheer hard work. She writes, directs, and acts, yet none of this is considered ‘news’ but her forehead? That’s what they focus on.”
“As much as the comment sections are filled with illiteracy and ignorance, publishing houses and media portals are no better. They should be more discerning about what they choose to report as news. There’s absolutely no need to add fuel to the fire,” she added.
On the other hand, Amar Khan wasn’t really affected by the troll brigade and responded to Jabbar saying, “Saheefa I have absolutely no counter-argument or reaction to this. Well, craft and achievements are also news but not a spicier one.”
“It's only my work that shall speak and that has been speaking in my favor always Alhamdulillah. We make blunders, we learn and we move on but these comments need anything but my reaction. Hope you are enjoying the fantastic weather in Lahore, let them enjoy my tight hairline.
Earlier Amar responded to a social user who said, "Hairline line sy zaida peechy nai hogai."
She replied, "Ary januu hogae hongy agli bar nai karaege... the gel back pony is done tightly... ab bachy ki jan loge kya."
