PS-43 by-poll candidate contracts coronavirus

A candidate in the by-election of PS-43 Jamshoro has contracted coronavirus about two weeks before the polling, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

PPP candidate Jam Shabbir Ali Khan has gone into quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19.

Jam Shabbir is contesting the by-election against PTI’s Mushtaq Junejo. The polling is due to be held on February 16.

In the same constituency, Jam Shabbir Ali Khan’s elder brother, Jam Madad Ali Khan, had died of coronavirus two months ago.

Jam Shabbir has been out in the field busy in the election campaign for the last two weeks.
