Over 800 kg dead chicken meat seized in Peshawar

KP Food Authority on Sunday intercepted a vehicle near Peshawar Toll Plaza and seized over 800kg of expired and dead chicken meat from a car, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In Mardan, a KP food inspector sealed a butcher’s shop for selling expired meat to customers. Authorities lodged FIR against the accused.
Also, in the Shair Garh area of Mardan, two units of a juice factory were sealed for preparing adulterated juice.
In Hafizabad, the Punjab food regulator team imposed a hefty fine for food adulteration at multiple points in Jalalpur Bhattian, Rasoolpur Tarrar, and Pindi Bhattian.
The milk suppliers were intercepted at various entry points in district Hafizabad and milk was tested at the mobile test lab of PFA.
PFA DG Sohaib Khan Jadoon said that multiple fast food points were also fined for using expired items in preparation of their products and on poor cleanliness measures.
