The Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday issued bailable arrest warrants of Ali Akash, previously known as Asma Bibi, who had contracted marriage with another girl Neha of Taxila, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz heard the case and directed the district headquarters hospital’s medical superintendent to form a four-member board for the purpose and submit a report on July 20 (Monday).
Akash did not attend the hearing on which the court ordered Lahore Police to present Akash before the court and issued ‘his’ bailable arrest warrant.
Akash’s lawyer Nadeem Anthony was present in the court.
On Monday, the court was also informed that Akash has now divorced Neha.
During the previous hearing, Ali Akash told the court that he was a male and having a married life. Similarly, Neha said Akash was her husband and a complete male.
It was reported that the two girls from Taxila had tied the knot officially through court marriage by tricking the judge as one of them managed to get the status of a boy using the state apparatus to her advantage.
