Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that people who are wary of inflation and hunger are committing suicide but the rulers continue to tell lies despite making Pakistan the most backward country of the region, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In her tweet on Saturday, the PML-N vice president wrote: “The people who have become wary of extreme kind of inflation and hunger created by inept rulers, have started committed suicides. The ruling authorities from top to bottom are spreading lies. When the hearts of the rulers become devoid of any sympathy and their eyes become bereft of any shame, then such kind of shamelessness could be observed on their part.”

In another tweet, Maryam said: “Despite the fact that more than half of the population is under the poverty line, the rules who have no feelings for poor still dare open their long tongues. Just ask the people they want Pakistan of 2017 or they want your (current rulers’) Pakistan which is beset by poverty, inflation, unemployment, lawlessness, terrorism and hunger.”

She further tweeted: “The PDM and PML-N want to represent people’s feelings and to remove their difficulties. We would like to stand by the people in their hour of trial and become their voice. What is your opinion what will be the most effective and extreme step we should take?”
