Two labourers were killed when a bomb exploded in a scrap they were sifting through in Kot Addu on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, the workers were sorting the scrap at a Sanawan Mazhar Scrap Godown when the explosives exploded.

The Kot Addu assistant commissioner confirmed that the explosion was caused by explosive material. “The administration has intensified checking process after a number of such incidents,” he added.

A police officer said that personnel of CTD and other institutions were looking into the blast. The crackdown on presence on explosive material in scrap godowns was on going, he added.
