The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced a new requirement for university admissions: an Undergraduate Admission Test (UAT).

Students who have completed their intermediate education must achieve at least 50% marks in this test to qualify for admission into universities.

The UAT will cover seven categories, including engineering, medical, computer science, and commerce. The tests are scheduled to take place in July.

Prospective candidates can apply for the UAT on the HEC website until June 30. This common test aims to streamline the admission process across universities, ensuring a standardized assessment for all applicants.

The HEC's decision emphasizes the importance of this test for all students seeking higher education, highlighting its role in maintaining consistent academic standards nationwide.
