Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Wednesday that Pak-China friendship was an example for other countries of the world to follow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

In an important meeting with his Chinese counterpart QI Yanjun at China’s mission at the United Nations in New York, he said that Pakistanis were proud of their country’s ties with China.

Matters related to the security of Chinese citizens living in Pakistan and relations between the two countries came under discussion at the meeting.

The interior minister said that the government of Pakistan had made foolproof arrangements for the security of Chinese nationals living in the country.

He also informed his Chinese counterpart of the progress made on an investigation into the Dasu terror attack.

Yanjun, on behalf of his country, expressed his satisfaction with the probe done so far. “Pakistani agencies and law-enforcement agencies showed great professionalism and have done a wonderful job in order to get to those responsible for the tragic incident,” the Chinese minister said.

Yanjun, on the occasion, praised the government of Pakistan for taking steps for the protection of Chinese nationals.

China’s interior minister assured his Pakistani counterpart that his country would train Pakistan’s law-enforcement agencies’ personnel in combating terrorism.

Yanjun also invited Naqvi to Global Security Forum to be held in China in September this year, which the latter accepted.

Yanjun also informed Naqvi that an Advisory Group from China’s Interior Ministry would visit Pakistan soon.

Calling China and Pakistan all-weather friends, China’s minister said that ties between the two countries were solid like a rock.
