Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) has been divided into two factions and one of the party's prominent leaders Sarwat Ijaz Qadri will now lead the new faction.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the deputy head of the Sunni Tehreek Shahid Ghauri rejected the faction of Sarwat Qadri in a media talk after the party's central members meeting in Karachi.
Shahid said that no one would be allowed to occupy the centre and the assets of the party would also be taken back from the people of the new faction.
Speaking on the issue of Palestine, he said next Friday will be observed as a 'Warn Day'. He also announced that they will now end the signature campaign and start sending letters to the United Nations on the Palestine issue.
Shahid said the leaders of the Sunni Tehreek have decided to start a protest movement for the Palestinian situation and sympathy for the Palestinians.
