Western winds enter Pakistan, different regions to experience rain until June 7

Westerly winds entered the upper and central areas of the country on Wednesday due to which there is possibility of thunder storm with rain in different parts till June 7, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Murree from today till June 7.

Clouds have been predicted in the districts of Quetta and Ziarat of Balochistan while clouds will also rain in the areas of Sukkur, Larkana and Kashmore of Sindh.

Moreover, rain is also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

On the other hand, there is a possibility of reduction in heat intensity in Karachi this week while impact of western system, strong winds will prevail in the city of Qaid and the report is partly cloudy.

Winds are currently blowing at a speed of 28 km per hour in the city and current temperature is 30 degrees Celsius while the intensity of heat is being felt up to 33 degrees  and maximum temperature likely to go up to 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, Meteorological Department said.

On the other hand, the State Disaster Management Authority of Azad Kashmir has issued a warning of thundershowers till June 8.

Heavy rain is likely at some places in the upper and central regions of Azad Kashmir and incidents of lightning, landslides may occur, SDMA warned.

Moreover, the temperature was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius due to the blowing of winds in Lahore and a slight decrease in heat intensity is being felt in Lahore.

Meanwhile, after the intense heat, the citizens of Rawalpindi have also got some relief. After the cloudy weather, the intensity of the heat has not only reduced, but there has been light rain in some parts of the city.
