Punjab earmarks Rs 10b for laptop scheme

Punjab government has decided to allocate a staggering amount of Rs 10 billion for the laptop scheme for students in the upcoming annual budget FY 2024-25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, the government following the recommendations presented under higher education sector reforms decided to resume laptop scheme after a seven-year hiatus.

Thus, the government is including the laptop scheme in the next financial budget under which talented students will receive free laptops to help them with their education.
