Court cancels non-bailable arrest warrants of KP CM Gandapur

A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Monday cancelled the non-bailable arrest warrants of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in a vandalism case during PTI’s Haqiqi Azadi March, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Naveed Khan cancelled the arrest warrants and adjourned the hearing of the case until May 20.
The court pronounced its decision in light of Islamabad High Court’s decision to discharge the case.
Earlier in the day, KP CM Gandapur moved the district and sessions court for cancellation of his non-bailable arrest warrants.
Last week, Judicial Magistrate Naveed Khan, while hearing the case, had issued the warrant for Gandapur and Qureshi over the non-compliance of court summons repeatedly.
Gandapur in his plea moved in the district and sessions court through lawyer Raja Zahoorul Hassan today said due to the electoral campaign he was unable to appear before the court.
Seeking an unconditional apology from the court, the KP CM pleaded with the court to cancel his non-bailable arrest warrants.
