Court issues non-bailable arrest warrants for Bahria Town CEO

A judicial magistrate in Malir on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Baharia Town Ali Riaz Malik, son of Malik Riaz, and Shahnawaz Durrani in a case pertaining to his organisation’s failure to give possession of shops in one of their projects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, a petition was filed by Ikram Ullah against the above-mentioned accused in which he stated that he paid Rs2.1 million for purchase of shops in Bahria Heights in 2019.
He further stated that it was mentioned in the agreement that full procession of the shops will be awarded after receiving full amount in installments.
He further complained that owner of the land sold the entire project to another accused and violated the agreement.
Police submitted a report that a suit is already filed in civil court between both parties.
Operations manager admitted to filing of suit in civil court but failed to respond about sale of shops.
The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants of the accused and directed that they must appear in court and submit surety bonds worth Rs50,000 for bail and satisfy the court.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till January 6, 2025.
