All educational institutions in Punjab including Lahore have reopened after a two-month summer break on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

With the opening of the schools across the province, the new academic session has also been started from today (August 1). But in most of the private schools in the province, summer vacations are still on and these educational institutions will be reopened on Aug 15.

When students were going back to their schools today after two-month summer holidays, they looked excited.

On the first day, the presence of students remained 65% in most of the educational institutions. The students said after the reopening of schools, they could do better preparation for their exams.

Parents were of the view that closure of schools during coronavirus lockdown had already wasted so much precious time of students.

President Serving Schools Association Ziaur Rehman welcomed early reopening of schools saying that it would enable students to study under the direction of teachers.

This year, the summer vacations were started on June 1 in Punjab.
