New Monetary Policy announced, no change in 22pc interest rate, inflation decreased

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has decided not to change the interest rate in the country and announced to maintain the base interest rate at 22 per cent on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, SBP Governor Jameel Ahmad addressed the news conference after the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting and announced the new monetary policy in Karachi.
Addressing the media persons, the SBP governor announced that the base interest rate will remain at 22 per cent.
SBP Governor Jameel Ahmad said a significant reduction in the rate of inflation was observed and it will further decrease in the coming months.
