Cipher Case: Imran Khan files amended petition in SC to declare his trial unconstitutional

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan filed an 'Amended Criminal Petition for Leave to Appeal before the Supreme Court (SC) in the Cipher case on Thursday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PTI chairman filed the petition through Hamid Khan and appealed to the apex court that the Cipher trial against him should be declared unconstitutional and invalid.
The plea is based on the recent judgment of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
In the Amended Criminal Petition for Leave to Appeal, the indictment against PTI Chairman Imran Khan is also requested to be declared null and void.
