The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has said 15 politicians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have received death threats from extremists prior to the general elections, reported 24NewsHD on Thursday.

According to the list prepared by the department, former member of the National Assembly (MNA) Mohsin Dawar, former provincial minister Imtiaz Qureshi, Senator Hidayatullah and ex-PML-N MNA Amir Muqam have received threats.

The list also includes the names of PTI’s Pir Musawwar Shah and Shah Muhammad, JUI-F’s Malik Adnan Wazir and Ihsanullah, Senator Bakhti Afsar and Senator Maulana Abdur Rasheed.

The CTD has said that police in all districts of the province have been intimated about these threats so that they could provide these politicians security.
