Fire destroys furniture shops in Lahore

A number of shops were completely gutted when a fire broke out at a wood warehouse in Lahore on Thursday morning, causing loss of millions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The blaze was triggered by an electricity short-circuit at Laxmi Chowk warehouse which quickly engulfed the nearby furniture showrooms, sources in 1122 Rescue, said, adding at least six shops were completely destroyed.
The fire destroyed goods worth millions of rupees, the Rescue sources said.
House catches fire
Short-circuit was the reason for another fire incident in Lahore on Thursday morning.
This time it broke out at a house in Airlines Society.
The fire started on the upper floor of the house, the Rescue sources said.
As many as three women were present on the upper floor of the house when the blast erupted suddenly.
