An accountability court on Friday heard a petition for restraining order against the auction of the property owned by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and sought arguments from the lawyers of parties in the case on next hearing on August 15, 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Accountability Court No. 1 Judge Asad Ali heard the petition.
It is to be noted here that the court had ordered to auction the properties of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
A petition for restraining order was filed through Qazi Misbah Advocate against the court orders of auctioning the properties of Nawaz Sharif.
“If Nawaz Sharif returns to the country, the process of auctioning the property will be challenged. It is better to stop the auction for a while,” the petitioner said.
“The Shamim Agricultural Farm and other properties are with the tenants. The auction will affect the rights of tenants of Shamim Agricultural Farm,” he added.
“The inheritance of the property has been transferred; therefore, the court should reconsider its decision and issue a restraining order against the auction,” he pleaded.
