Pakistan beat Bangladesh 8-0 to finish fifth in Asia Cup

Pakistan Wednesday beat Bangladesh by 8-0 to finish Asia Cup 2022 at the fifth position after the Hockey World Cup ouster.

In a one-sided contest, Pakistani players made multiple strikes to win their last match in the Asian event. Mubashir Ali scored two goals while Rizwan Ali, Afraz, Abdul Hannan Shahid, Umar Bhutta, Ajaz Ahmed and Ghazanfar Ali bagged a goal each.

Earlier, India edged out Pakistan from Asia Cup and Hockey World Cup 2023 after beating Indonesia by 16-0. Pakistan, in Asia Cup, lost against Japan, won against Indonesia and drew against India.
