Congratulations abound to Brigadier Helen Mary Roberts as she became the first Christian woman officer to be promoted to the rank of brigadier, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Helen Mary Roberts promoted to the brigadier rank in the Pakistan Army Medical Corps.

It is for the first time in the 76 years history of Pakistan Army that a lady officer belonging to a minority community has been promoted to the one-star rank of brigadier.

There is a flood of good wishes and congratulations for the lady officer on the social media.
