Two people including a woman was shot dead by some unidentified assailants in Bhag area of Bolan in the name of “honour”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Sources in the Levies force said that both the woman and her partner were murdered for having illicit relations. Later, Levies personnel shifted the dead bodies to a local hospital.
All the assailants fled away from the scene after committing the double murder.
Levies personnel were conducting raids in different areas to apprehend the culprits involved in this heinous crime.
Despite the existence of specific laws against honour killings in Pakistan, incidents of "kala kali" in Punjab, "karukari" in Sindh, "tor tora" in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and "sayakari" in Balochistan are common.
The Human Rights Commission and organizations working for women's rights have expressed deep concern and demanded the government to take concrete measures to prevent these incidents.
