School timings revised in Sindh

The Sindh Education Department has revised school timings after the approval of the steering committee, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

According to the new schedule, for the period from April 1 to October 31, schools will now be open from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm from Monday through Thursday and Saturday.

On Fridays, however, the new timings will be from 8 am to 12 pm. 

A separate schedule for schools from November 1 to March 31 has also been issued by the education department. 

As per the November to March schedule, schools’ timings will be from Monday through Thursday and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Monday to Thursday and Saturday. 

Meanwhile, schools will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. 

There will be different timings for Ramadan as well. 

During Ramadan, schools will open from Monday to Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and close at 12:00 p.m. 

On Fridays in Ramadan, timing from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. will be observed. 

A new schedule has also been released for schools with double shifts in this regard.
