A man died at a hospital in Rawalpindi days after he was tested negative for the coronavirus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

It is yet to ascertain whether the death of the patient in Rawalpindi was caused due to the negligence or incompetence of the doctors.

Haji Tariq was an employee of the health department who was admitted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital following suspicion of contracting the virus. He tested negative for the COVID-19 on April 24.

Despite being cleared from the infection, he was kept in the corona ward as the doctors did not authorize his transfer from the ward. Eventually, the patient reportedly got infected and died on Friday.
