PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Saturday asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to step down yet another time.

Responding to a Tweet of Imran Khan, Maryam Nawaz wrote, “The party accused of rigging in Daska was yours but awam (the public) made you bite the dust twice despite your efforts to run away from reelection. Your party came last in NA 249, so you need not worry, and please don’t try to look relevant. You have been rejected over and over again. Step down.”

In another tweet, she wrote: “And pls do not try to act smart and use this as a pretext to pressurise ECP and escape from foreign funding case.”

Earlier, Imran Khan had twitted which reads, “In NA 249 by-election, despite a low turnout, all parties are crying foul and claiming rigging. The same happened in Daska recently and in senate elections. In fact, apart from the 1970 election, in every election claims of rigging have raised doubt over the credibility of election results.”

A few days earlier, Maryam had said that she would like to allow the PTI government to complete its five-year term so that PM Iman should not foul cry. In an interview, she said that she wanted the PTI government to complete five years term so that it does not tell the people tomorrow that if we got five years, we would have done wonders.

Political analysts termed it a major policy shift of PML-N and linked it with the release of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif. But, in today’s tweet, Maryam again asked the PM to step down which is another U-turn.
