Central Punjab Captain Faheem Ashraf suffered an injury during a match against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

Faheem became injured by a ball hitting his hand during the National T20 Cup match. Young fast bowler Asad Raza was called to Rawalpindi in place of Faheem.

Doctors suggested complete rest for the injured all-rounder. The replaced pacer Asad Raza took the most wickets among fast bowlers in the recent inter-division tournament.

Earlier, KPK beat CP by 18 runs in National T20 Cup.

Central Punjab had to finish at 147/9 with five balls to spare because their captain Faheem, who was hurt while bowling in the first inning, was unable to bat.

The best bowler for KPK was Imran Snr, who finished with the match-winning bowling stats of 4-27. Asif Afridi and Mohammad Imran both claimed two wickets.

Thanks to the combined batting effort of the reigning champions, KPK was able to compile a respectable score of 165/6 in the allocated 20 overs when they were given the opportunity to bat first.
