Bike-borne suicide attack on army convoy in Bannu, 9 martyred, 5 injured

In a suicide attack on the convoy of the Pak Army in Bannu, at least nine soldiers were martyred and five injured on Thursday.
According to the media wing of the Pak Army, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a Motorcycle-borne suicide bomber exploded himself on a military convoy in the general area of Jani Khel, Bannu District.
Resultantly, nine soldiers including Naib Subedar Sanobar Ali embraced shahadat, while five soldiers were injured in the suicide attack.
After the attack, the security forces cordoned off the area and sanitization is being carried out to eliminate terrorists from the area.
The ISPR said that the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen their resolve.

PM Kakar says Pakistan stands resolute against terror

Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar termed the suicide attack on the army convoy a cowardly terror attack in a tweet.

He said in the tweet, "Heartbroken by the loss of 9 valiant soldiers in Bannu Division, KPK, to a cowardly terrorist act that injured many. Such acts are utterly reprehensible. My thoughts are with the families of the martyred and injured. Pakistan stands resolute against such terror."

Sarfraz Bugti, Mardan Khan condemns terror attack
Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Ahmad Bugti and Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on security forces in Bannu.
They expressed grief and regret over the martyrdom of 9 security personnel in the attack and said brave security personnel sacrificed their lives for the protection of their beloved country.
They said cowardly terrorists cannot weaken the determination and independence of the security forces.
They expressed their condolences and sympathies to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the elevation of the ranks of martyrs.
