Slight slash in oil prices

The federal government has once again decreased the prices of petroleum products, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
The government has slashed the petrol price by Rs1.86 per litre and the high-speed diesel by Rs3.32 per litre as part of the fortnightly revision of the fuel prices.
The price of light-speed diesel has been cut by Rs 2.97 per litre.
The new fuel prices will be effective from September 1, according to an official statement.
