Lahore sees another death, coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 845

Another patient suffering from coronavirus infection passed away at Mayo Hospital in Lahore on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old woman, who was suffering from a liver ailment in addition to Covid-19, died at Mayo Hospital, according to health department officials. She was admitted to the hospital on Monday. The latest death took the number of fatalities in Lahore to five and in Punjab to 11.

The total number confirmed coronavirus patients in Punjab, as of 12:00 am on April 2, was 845 and all over Pakistan 2,238. On Wednesday, 97 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Punjab alone.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar also confirmed the number of patients in Punjab in a tweet later in the evening on Wednesday.
