Application for disqualification of Imran Khan filed in ECP

For the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, an application has been filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the application has been filed by the Aman Taraqi Party Chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah in the ECP.
The applicant appealed to the ECP that PTI Chairman Imran Khan should be disqualified under Article 62(1)F for submitting a false affidavit in the foreign funding case.
The mover of the application said all privileges and facilities received by PTI Chairman Imran Khan as Member National Assembly (MNA) and ex-Prime Minister should be withdrawn.
Faiq Shah also gave a reference to the case of Faisal Vawda, a former parliamentarian and said he was also disqualified for submitting a false affidavit.
In the application, the mover further stated that with disqualification, Faisal Vawda was also ordered to deposit all emoluments in the national exchequer.
In the application, it is also requested to the ECP that PTI’s Imran Khan should be removed from the party chairmanship.
