PTI govt obtained 43.4 billion loans from Aug 2018 to Dec 2021

The total disbursement of foreign loans during the PTI tenure from Aug 2018 to Dec 2021 was $43.4 billion. The PTI government took a bilateral $3.22 billion loan at the interest rate of 2% while a loan of $3.5 billion was obtained in the form of bonds at an interest rate of 7%.

According to the documents, the disbursement of foreign loans from August 2018 to December 2021 was $43.4 billion, at 2 percent interest. A bilateral loan of $3.22 billion was taken, while a loan of $3.5 billion was obtained in the form of bonds at an interest rate of 7 percent.
The PTI government borrowed $14.53 billion through commercial banks with an interest rate of 3 percent. Through multilateral lending, the government secured a loan of $14.45 billion at 1 percent interest rate.
A loan of $1 billion was taken in the form of safe deposit at 1 percent interest rate, a loan of $3 billion was obtained in the form of time deposit at 4 percent interest rate, and a loan of $3.3 billion was obtained at 2.5 percent interest rate, the documents revealed.
