The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has issued arrest warrants of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and four others accomplices in corrupt practices and misuse of authority, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
The arrest warrants have been issued for key figures, including Shahzad Akbar former advisor to prime minister Imran Khan on interior and accountability, Zia-ul-Mustafa, Zulfi Bukhari and Farahat Shahzadi.
NAB alleged that these individuals have been involved in corruption, misuse of authority, and illegal exercise of powers.
The accountability watchdog has directed IGP Punjab to implement the arrest orders promptly.
The NAB authorities emphasize the need to present the accused individuals before the relevant courts after their apprehension.
The charges against the PTI Chairman and associates are expected to be thoroughly examined in a court of law.
