NAB files Rs1.23 billion corruption reference against Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference in an accountability court in Lahore against senior PTI leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, his son Moonis Elahi and others for causing a loss of Rs1.23 billion to the national exchequer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
After completing the investigation against Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi and others regarding receiving kickbacks, the NAB has found all the accused “guilty” with Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis as the prime accused.
According to the NAB reference, during his stint as Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi had misused his powers and received kickbacks and got illegally approved 116 schemes for his home district of Gujrat.
